What has to be fixed before an end-to-end test system is delivered?
An integrated system has to treat positioning, fixture and enclosure, RF and electrical paths, instruments, test software, automation control, and data traceability as one acceptance-tested process. Before delivery, the supply scope, third-party instruments, interface development, and on-site integration responsibility must be agreed item by item in the technical agreement. Vague scope is the usual cause of a system that works in the vendor lab and not on the line.
Key points
- Scope of supply listed item by item, including third-party instruments
- Interface development ownership named explicitly
- On-site integration and commissioning responsibility assigned
- Acceptance criteria written against measurable tests, not descriptions
- Traceability and data fields agreed with the customer IT owner
