What is the front-access manual shield box, and when does a front door help?
It is a portable metal RF test enclosure with a hinged front door. The door opens outward on two hinges at the left and closes on a protruding handle latch; a metal carry handle on top allows single-person transport. Front access lets the operator face the opening and load a complete unit or a cabled assembly straight in, which is easier than lifting it over a top rim and threading a harness down. It needs no compressed air, so it works on a line, in a lab, or at a field location.
Key points
- Front-hinged door for upright loading of complete units and chassis
- Operator faces the opening, which reduces handling effort and cable strain
- Protruding handle latch compresses the seal manually
- Top carry handle for single-person transport
- No air supply, so it deploys anywhere
