What is the difference between the MI058 and QT-M105B low noise amplifiers?
Both are 1–18 GHz broadband LNAs in the 30 dB gain class, but the published specifications differ in ways that matter for link budget. MI058 lists 30 dB gain, 4.0 dB noise figure, ±2.0 dB gain flatness, 15 dBm output P1dB, 40 dB reverse isolation, 2.0:1 VSWR, 5.0 dBm maximum input, +12 V at 100–150 mA, and a 24 × 24 × 10 mm nickel-plated aluminium body. QT-M105B lists noise figure under 4 dB, gain of 30 dB or more, ±1.5 dB gain flatness, VSWR under 2, 15 dBm P1dB, harmonics below −60 dBm at −10 dBm output, and reverse isolation of 40 dB or more. Choose on noise figure margin, gain flatness, and mechanical fit.
Key points
- Both cover 1–18 GHz in the 30 dB gain class
- MI058: 4.0 dB noise figure and ±2.0 dB gain flatness
- QT-M105B: under 4 dB noise figure and ±1.5 dB gain flatness
- QT-M105B publishes harmonic performance, which matters for spurious tests
- Confirm the part-number correspondence in the technical agreement before ordering
