Does the QT-06SPD4W work as soon as I plug the Type-C cable into a PC?
Not necessarily. The datasheet specifies DC 5 V over Type-C for communication and power, and gives AT channel commands. A Type-C connector does not by itself prove driver availability, USB device class, or software parameter compatibility. On first connection, confirm that the host enumerates the device, that the driver is present, and that commands are sent and acknowledged. We do not claim plug-and-play across all computers or all baud rate settings.
Key points
- Confirm host enumeration before assuming the device is working
- Verify the USB device class and driver on the target operating system
- Test AT+RF0 through AT+RF3 and confirm the acknowledgment returns
- Do not send commands over USB and RS485 simultaneously on the same unit
- Record the working host configuration so the next station can be cloned
