QT-06SPD2W or QT4P16T — which RF switch do I need?
They solve different problems. QT-06SPD2W is a 1-to-2 path switch covering 0.1–8 GHz, with insertion loss under 1 dB and isolation above 70 dB from 0.1–3 GHz. It switches one RF signal between two paths — a test path and a calibration path, for example. QT4P16T is a 4-input, 16-output matrix covering 0.5–6 GHz, where each of four inputs can be broadcast to any of sixteen outputs. Use the SPDT for path selection and the matrix when one instrument has to reach many antenna ports.
Key points
- SPDT for switching one signal between two paths
- Matrix for distributing instrument ports across many antenna paths
- QT-06SPD2W: 0.1–8 GHz, under 1 dB insertion loss, over 70 dB isolation to 3 GHz
- QT4P16T: 0.5–6 GHz, 4 in / 16 out, under 4 dB core-channel insertion loss
- Combine them: matrix for port expansion, SPDT for calibration routing
