Acoustic Test Enclosure for Audio Production
Floor-standing sound isolation cabinet with 25 dBA-class background
Overview
Audio pass/fail on a busy line fails for one reason: the background noise is not the same twice. This cabinet addresses that with a metal outer shell and a multi-layer absorptive and barrier construction, giving an internal cavity that holds its noise floor while units go in and out.
Attenuation is specified by band rather than as a single figure, because low-frequency content is what actually leaks: above 30–40 dB at 200 Hz, 40–50 dB at 500 Hz and 1 kHz, and above 50–60 dB at 5 kHz.
The cabinet is manual — a hinged front door with a single latch and vertical handle, no air supply needed. That keeps it deployable anywhere on a line without running a pneumatic drop. Internal cavity measures 418 × 523 × 452 mm, external 1655 × 1330 × 1750 mm, net weight around 380 kg on a caster base so it can be repositioned as a unit.
Fixtures, connector panels, and interface cutouts are built to the device and the test system, not adapted from a standard plate.

Specifications
Features

- Manual front door with no air supply, so the cabinet deploys without a pneumatic drop
- Caster base lets the whole 380 kg unit be repositioned as one piece
- Cavity size suits phone-to-speaker form factors without a rebuild
- Fixtures and connector panels built to the device, not adapted from a stock plate
Typical applications
- Speaker and receiver audio test
- Headset and TWS audio screening
- Abnormal noise detection
