Dual-Level Pneumatic Shield Box for ONT Testing
Two stacked cavities for optical network terminal production stations
Overview
ONT and ONU units carry several radios in one housing, and the test station has to handle the optical link, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi paths in a sequence that fits the line. A two-level layout lets the station serve two cavities without doubling the floor footprint.
The enclosure uses side-mounted pneumatic actuation with front control buttons, an external fan housing, and carry handles. Each level is configured around how the unit sits, where its cables run, and how the operator loads it.
Two details decide whether a dual-level station actually works: how well the levels are isolated from each other, and whether the parallel test paths share instrument resources cleanly. Both are verified against the delivered configuration rather than assumed from the drawing.

Specifications
Features
- Two cavities in one footprint, which suits stations running optical, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi tests in sequence
- Side-mounted pneumatic actuation keeps the front face clear for operator access
- Front control buttons let the operator run the cycle without reaching around the unit
- Inter-level isolation verified against the delivered configuration
Typical applications
- ONT / ONU production lines
- Wi-Fi and Ethernet combo testing
- Optical network terminal screening
