Pneumatic Drawer Abnormal Noise Test Enclosure
25 dBA background with automated noise excitation and judgement
Overview
Abnormal noise — a rattle, a buzz, a whine from a motor or a fan — is one of the last defects still caught by a human ear at the end of a line. It is subjective, it depends on the operator, and it does not scale. Automating it needs two things: a quiet, repeatable acoustic environment, and a defined excitation and judgement process.
This cabinet provides the first. A vertical cabinet layout puts an operator console on top with a touchscreen, keyboard tray, and air pressure gauge; the pneumatic drawer cavity in the middle takes the unit in and out under cylinder control, so positioning repeats exactly; and the lower equipment bay holds the pneumatics and electrics behind a caster base.
Background noise is 25 dBA or lower with the surrounding environment at 80 dBA or above. External dimensions are 1550 × 1200 × 1950 mm with a 900 × 600 × 900 mm internal cavity, and the size can be customised.
The interface complement — six BNC, two USB, two RJ45, one DB9, one DC, two SMA, and a 30 mm through-hole — is built to the test system, and fixtures and connectors are customised to the device under test.
