Near-Field Coupling Matrix Antenna
Eight cross-polarised pairs with integrated RF switching
Overview
Adjusting a coupling antenna by hand for every band is the slowest part of a coupling test, and it is also the least repeatable. This array replaces the adjustment with channel selection: eight cross-polarised pairs sit in fixed positions covering the four corners and the centre of a phone, and an integrated RF switch selects the path.
Coverage extends to within 30° of the main lobe direction, with a maximum polarisation error of 45° under the specified matching conditions. Because the switch is inside the assembly, channel changes happen in milliseconds.
The array is designed as a retrofit for existing shield box stations, which matters if you already have enclosures on the line and only want to change the coupling hardware. A test utility performs automatic golden-unit verification and stores cable loss data, so changeover between models does not require re-measuring the whole chain by hand.
