Wearable RF Test Platform
One-to-four independent testing for bands, watches, and TWS
Overview
Wearables are small, which makes them easy to test and easy to test badly. The antenna is a few millimetres from the housing, the ground plane is tiny, and the way the device sits on the wrist or in the ear changes the coupling. Positioning consistency matters more here than on a phone.
This platform pairs a shielded enclosure with an automated fixture, supporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth testing across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and Wi-Fi 6E. A one-to-four configuration runs four independent tests from one station.
The parallel relationship between the four positions, the test path at each position, and the instrument resources all have to be checked against the selected configuration and the acceptance conditions agreed for the project — four positions do not automatically mean four fully independent instrument chains.
