Manual Rotary Step Attenuator, DC–6 GHz
0–100 dB in 1 dB steps, dial control, no power needed
Overview
A rotary dial is the fastest way to sweep level by hand. Instead of pressing combinations of keys, you turn to the number you want and read it off the dial. For calibration work and for adjusting a link while watching the instrument, that ergonomics matters.
The unit covers DC–6 GHz at 50 Ω with 0–100 dB in 1 dB steps, N-type standard with SMA available in the same family. VSWR is 1.5:1 or better and insertion loss at the 0 dB setting is 1.8 dB or better across the band.
Power handling is around 2 W average and 100 W peak as a reference figure. The metal housing works either as a bench instrument or bolted into a rack-mounted test chain.
