Push-Button Step Attenuator, 0–90 dB, 1 dB Steps
Eight mechanical keys, 1 dB resolution, no power required
Overview
This is the attenuator you reach for when you want to change level quickly and trust the number without checking a display. Eight keys combine in binary-plus groups (typically 1/2/4/8/16/20/20/20 dB) to reach any value from 0 to 90 dB in 1 dB steps. The setting is mechanically latched, so it survives a power interruption and cannot be changed by software.
The 5 W average rating at 25 °C suits bench work and receiver sensitivity testing. Standard connectors are N-type on both ends; SMA is available in the 2S configuration of the same family.
Insertion loss is 3.5 dB or better at the 0 dB setting, VSWR is 1.5:1 or better across DC–3 GHz, and attenuation accuracy follows the usual ±0.5 dB to ±3% bands by range. Treat those as reference values and confirm against the delivered datasheet for your unit.
